Lucas started 3 year old preschool yesterday. He goes three days a week. He’s been asking all summer when it was time to go back to school. Last week at “Meet the Teacher,” he wanted me to drop him off and leave him there. I am so proud of my little guy who loves life and learning! I think this will be a great experience for him.
Caroline started Mother’s Day Out at the same place. She’s in the “busy bee” room and goes two days a week. She marched in like she owned the place, clutching her lunch box and sporting her adorably cheesy grin. It didn’t take long before her temper tantrums started. What can I say? The girl knows what she wants and gets some serious attitude when she doesn’t get it. I think this will be a great experience for her.
I stopped by Panera and ate a bagel in complete silence. I leisurely sipped on my tea and checked Facebook in peace. I drove over to Target and wandered up and down aisles in complete solitude. I headed home, cleaned the house, did laundry, and sat for 30 minutes completely uninterrupted! When I picked the kids up from school, I was refreshed and so happy to see them. I think this will be a great experience for me.
Life happens when the kids go back to school!

Oh my goodness! They both looked so cute and excited! Emma Kate started preschool too and she LOVES it! We are having so much fun with it. Enjoy “mommy time” and relax a bit!!!
Isn’t it glorious? I sat in the house with dead silence the first day Daniel was in preschool.
Beautiful kids! And time spent without them, no matter how wonderful and cute they are, is beautiful, too!
